Here are a few new finds of some cool accessories. It’s my first time trying the Gorilla glue – works well. I also like the simple and effective screw on and off top… it seals well after using. Now, off to craft!

Springtime favs
It’s looking and feeling like Spring lately. This is my new soft Cotton mini yarn stash. It wasn’t easy selecting from the tons of colors Knit Picks offers on this yarn. It’s cotton & modal blends. I find this very interesting about Modal: http://www.aaatextiles.com/knit/Modal.html The sheen is pretty and is so much softer than the Lily SugarContinue reading “Springtime favs”
WIPS: Ear warmers
I’m still working on a few of these neat ear warmers to gift to the Asst Managers at our Panera for Christmas. I used Stitch, Stitch Boom pattern. The Moss stitch has great texture. I used Vanna’s Choice 4 ply yarn. This one is actually a dark Brick color, the other is a Dusty Purple.
Jewel colors
I love the jewel tone color way of this beautiful soft chunky yarn (Lion Brand Yarn). Working on a cowl…a really warm cowl using a large R hook (as thick as a pretzel rod stick). I’m making the cowl tall to be able to roll it over or hide under it during very cold weather.Continue reading “Jewel colors”

“Extreme Crocheting”
Calling this “extreme crocheting” with an R hook. Next to my I hook the R is huge! This Bernat blanket yarn (acrylic) is super soft and perfect for the ‘throws’ I’m making for charity.
Keeping it together, stitch by stitch…
With all the craziness going on in this world I’m grateful for my hobby of Crocheting/ Knitting …it helps keep my restless hands busy and anxious tendencies in check. I also use some of the helpful practices given (below). Working on a few charity projects, these prayer hearts will be sent to women who are grieving the lost of an infantContinue reading “Keeping it together, stitch by stitch…”
WIP on my H hook…
Newborn size vs teeny preemie size… Crocheting using Caron one pound yarn & Bernat for accent stripes. So much smaller than this newborn baby hat Making a dozen of these for the preemie hat project of my Stitch & Bitch.
On my hooks…
I laid down my knitting needles for the weekend to crochet some newborn hats for our hospital project. Using Caron One Pound yarn. A lot of Pink & Mint!! I’m still knitting the wash clothes …halfway done for my 30 count goal.
Knitting pretty…
I’ve made #4 out of 30 knitted washcloths. I’m adding them to my ‘TLC packs’ for my Spring donation to the women’s shelter. Going to wrap it around a bar of soap. I’m enjoying using Cotton (Peaches & Creme) and working with the variegated yarn, in Spring colors!! 🙂 Happy Spring!! Happy Palm Sunday andContinue reading “Knitting pretty…”
